Assistant Principal
Alice Stortini
Dear Coyote Nation,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Coronado Elementary! It is an honor to join a school with such an amazing community. In working alongside our esteemed Principal, Mr. Brian Griggs, I am committed to meeting the needs of staff, students, and their families by fostering academic achievement and nurturing strong, supportive relationships. I believe that when staff, students, and their families are united in their efforts and shared goals, incredible things can happen. My primary focus will be to ensure that every member of our community feels safe, valued, heard, and equipped to succeed.
Allow me to share a bit about my background. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from ASU, a Master’s in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in K-12 Leadership, both from NAU, and an Education Specialist Degree in K-12 Leadership from GCU. With 23 years in education, I taught in general education and gifted classrooms, and served as a district-wide gifted coach, a site instructional coach, and a summer school principal. These experiences have shaped my educational philosophy and reinforced my dedication to creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-achieving school environment.
I am genuinely excited to work with you and your children to contribute to the continued success of Coronado Elementary. Please feel free to reach out to me at alice.stortini@husd.org with any ideas, questions, or concerns you may have.
Warm regards,
Dr. Alice Stortini, Ed.D.
